JULIEN SCALZO

Julien Scalzo has been into music since he was a kid, delving into piano and music theory. As a teenager, he got into computer-assisted music and quickly felt the need to express himself through musical composition.

His journey as a music producer kicked off in 2009 when he won the "Fast Trax" production contest hosted by Pete Tong. Since then, he's been teaming up with artists such as Sarina Suno and Keith Thompson, dropping EPs like "Remember" in 2012, which was remixed by Muttonheads. He's been releasing tracks signed by French labels, and back in the day, you'd often catch his tunes on CD compilations or at the top of national charts. In 2016, "Sky Is The Limit" hit the Extraclub top 50 and blasted through radios in France and Spain. In 2018, he dropped his track "It's You" featuring Ron Carroll on Tiger Records with a video clip shot in Chicago and a remix from Boogie Pimps. In 2019, it's the turn of "Freedom Song" with Terri B! to see the light on the UK label Let There Be House.

Over the years, Julien has carved out his own style, blending his funk and disco influences into his sound. He even started his own record label to release his creations. By 2020, he produced a video for his track "Another Kind Of Love" and started collaborating with UK artists like Suki Soul on "Boogie Freak," with whom he puts his spin on Prince's classic "I Wanna Be Your Lover." Now, adding to his impressive collaborations, Julien is gearing up for "I'm Gonna Shine" with Max'C in 2024.
