1trax are very proud to present Todd Terry. As one of the pioneering American house producers he helped define New York's house scene during the 1980s and has gone on to release a constant stream of underground house anthems. Terry's productions are influenced by the sounds of classic disco, the more introspective Chicago sound pioneered earlier in his career plus plenty of hip-hop attitude!

Terry’s studio skills have led him to be responsible for two of the most respected crossover remixes of the house era: I'll House You by the Jungle Brothers and Missing by Everything But the Girl during the mid 1990s. Although Terry has a long career he is as relevant today as he was twenty years ago and continually tours the globe including this years Miami WMC and regular dates for MN2S in Ibiza and London.

A Todd Terry production is synonymous with quality but 1Trax don’t do things by halves so we have complimented this release with a stellar remix package. With remixes from Bart B More, Conan Liquid, Maya Jane Coles (NiCe7) and our Dutch friends Genetik & Groovenatics we have provided the perfect combination of deep and electro house that you’d expect from 1Trax.

Bart B More has remixed some of the biggest names around and his Dutch debut “Newschool Cuts EP” was a massive smash in his homeland and a mainstay in the DJ boxes of the world’s leading house producers including Steve Angello, Mark Knight, Bob Sinclar, Sebastian Ingrosso, Martijn ten Velden and Axwell. With these credentials, and with Bart fast becoming a rising star, we were keen to add his interpretation of “Uncle Tech” and asked him to make his remix debut for 1trax.

Bart has stripped down Terry’s track delivering a driving and minimal production that will cross over from the house heads to the fans of today’s minimal scene. The production builds nicely and his acid bleeps will bring the heat to the dance floor. In addition London’s Maya Jane Coles who has previously released on Dogmatik Recordings delivers her own interpretation of Uncle Tech. Her remix delivers a quality techno cut with a deeper twisted approach with a cool groove and hook. With a good use of the vocal she has created a dancefloor destroyer!

With Genetik, Groovenatics, Bingo Players & Conan Liquid adding their remix skills to Todd Terry’s “Uncle Tech” this is a strong package that’s going to take club land by storm!
